Josh Jackson is currently ranked the number one high school basketball player. He has also confirmed that he will be attending the Kansas University and will be playing for them in the 2016-17 seasons. Earlier Josh was surveying his options with his favorite being Kansas. However he was not too sure about his decision earlier and now all that seemed to have changed.
The confirmation that Josh will be playing for Kansas University was made by him through his Twitter account about two days back. The Tweet by Josh read “Next year I will be attending Kansas University”. It is believed he has put much thought into his decision to go to Kansas.
Josh also shocked a certain group of people through his decision as he chose Kansas over last year’s finalist teams Michigan State and Arizona. Many scouts have already said Josh is probably the best recruit in many years. He is also considered one of the best transition players in the last decade.
However, his new coaches have said there’s a lot of room for improvement in his game, especially in his awareness, sudden reactions, shooting and most importantly his ball control skills and interchanging plays through his left and right stance.
With Josh, Kansas University is hoping nothing short of gold this season. They are considered hot favorites already after Josh announced his commitments to the team. They are also hoping they can surpass their previous best record of 30-4 this season a target demanding of discipline and skill at the same time from the players.
It has been predicted that Josh will be the freshman in the upcoming season of college basketball to make the biggest impact as a player. Josh’s decision to join Kansas came after he spent a while on an official visit and also took part in training for a while.
The head coach of Kansas immediately had an impact on Josh and he was very impressed by the coaching tactics and the family like bond that was found in the team and the coaching staff. He also has said it was like family and the way the coaches pushed the players so that they can play, perform and be better is something he did not want to miss.
Kansas Jayhawks coach Bill Self has also commented that he is pleased and happy that Josh has decided to join Kansas and hopes this season they can do spectacular things together.
Josh also happens to be a world champion on two categories with the USA basketball team under age 17 and 19. In the tournaments, he participated with the national team. He was widely regarded as the best player with a unique ability to be agile even though he is huge in size. This enabled him to play as a defense as well as a shooting guard which is magnificent in its own way.
