Stanley Tucci who lost his former wife Kathryn Tucci to breast cancer in 2009 still gets emotional thinking about her. He went on to admit how his beloved wife’s tragic death affects his marriage to Felicity Blunt.
“My late wife – she died of cancer. We tried everything we could do to save her. I wish that I could have done more and that I could have been with her at the moment she passed away. I couldn’t be in that room, because I knew it would be so devastating that I wouldn’t be able to take care of the kids after.”
He still feels sad remembering her.

Tucci met Felicity Blunt, elder sister of actress Emily Blunt at the younger Blunt’s wedding to actor John Krasinski in Italy. Stanley who had never been vocal about his relationship with Felicity recently opened up about it in his new cookbook, “The Tucci Table”. The actor describes their first date as,
“I was so stuffed I could barely breathe. Felicity, however, ordered a huge cheese plate, leaving me completely 'agog'.
She then asked me, “Where do you want to eat tomorrow?” I was in love”, he added.

He talked about feeling guilty for being with Felicity shortly after his wife’s death in an interview with The Times stating,
“It was very hard to go on vacations at first, really hard to go with Felicity someplace. I felt guilty. It’s horrible. You always feel guilty. There are photographs (of Kathryn) around at home… Not that many, but I would have difficulty. And especially when we first met it was only two years after Kate died. So…”
In an interview with The Guardian, he revealed he has cried reminiscing his wife,
“I cried recently, thinking about my late wife.”
Stanley Tucci now lives in south London with his children from Kathryn; 12-year-old Camilla, 14-year-old twins Nicolo and Isabel, wife Felicity Blunt and their baby Matteo.
