Child actor Jeff Cohen, best remembered as Chunk in the 1985 movie The Goonies, has not appeared in movies since 1991.

Whoever has watched the classic movie ‘The Goonies’ must be quite intrigued to know what Jeff Cohen, the oversized notorious kid has been doing now. What is happening in his life?

The clumsy plump kid, known for his unique Hawaiian shirt on Plaid pants, looks completely different now. Cohen has lost all that famous puppy fat and transformed into a handsome man. In an interview at the 30th anniversary of movie The Goonies, Jeff Cohen revealed how losing his puppy fat was the end of his acting career.

Famous for the “Truffle Shuffle” scene, the former child artist, Cohen chose to pursue a legal career as he found that many important figures on the business side of Hollywood had law degrees. He is now a successful entertainment lawyer in Los Angeles. He is also the founding partner of Cohen & Gardner LLP, a legal firm that practices entertainment related law, situated at Beverly Hills.

Jeff attended the University of California, Berkeley and earned a degree in Business Administration in 1996. After Berkeley, he graduated from the UCLA School of Law in 2000.

The 41- aged lawyer has not got married yet. There were rumors that he is a gay since he was not dating anyone. But it has been revealed sometime within the past few years that he is dating his long term girlfriend from the law school he graduated. However, it seems like the actor turned lawyer is not ready to have a wife in his life right now.

The brilliant child actor who was praised for his artistic perfection in the adventure comedy, ‘The Goonies’ which was created in production of Steven Spielberg, was also seen in television movies including Little Shots and Perfect HarmonyPerfect Harmony was the last movie he acted in his film career in 1991. He has also voiced as Grunt in the movie Scooby Doo and The Ghoul School.

The director of The Goonies, Richard Donner, says:

“His acting had an incredible sense of genuineness, of reality. He was Jeff- he drew from himself, and I think that’s who he is now. He’s honest and straight. I think that was in his acting and now in his law practice.”

Cohen also made appearances in various episodes of TV shows like Tales from the Darkside, Webster, Kids Incorporated, The Facts of Life, Family Ties, Amazing stories, Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color and She’s the Sheriff.
