In 2008 in the thought of making his own projects, he wrote a short movie Who is Bobby Domino, where he met his production partner Jesse Grace with whom he worked on more short movies, many of which entered the numerous film festivals and won honors. Later, Hentschel’s work started getting recognition and was featured in big-budget movie Knight and Day co-starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. In 2011, Hentschel even played opposite singer Justin Bieber on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in the episode Targets of Obsession. He had a repetitive role in the series Reckless. He is also known for his supporting role in White House Down in the role of Mots. In 2014, he played in the movie Transcendence, starring Johnny Depp. It was announced that Hentschel will portray the Carter Hall version of Hawkman in the 2016 show DC’s Legends of tomorrow, and also Arrow and The Flash.
